What exactly am I getting myself into? 

An escape room, like us, is an interactive game in which  you are the main character. Your job, along with your team mates, is to complete various puzzles and solve clues to complete your objective. Depending on which room you choose, the objective can differ. 

Am I actually locked in? 

Absolutely not! Due to liability we cannot lock you in the room. So if you are feeling overwhelmed or have to use the washroom you can exit the room. 

In our dark rooms, can I bring in a light source? 

Unfortunately no. Outside light sources such as cell phones, hand held flashlights and head lamps are prohibited. We give you everything you need to successfully finish the room. 

When should I book? 

Whenever is convenient for you! Usually we recommend a couple days notice if you book one room, and up to a week for more than one room. 

Am I going to be scared?

A few of our rooms are directed towards a more mature audience. There are no jump scares or startles in our family friendly rooms. Review the Room synopsis to see the scare level of each room.


Can children participate? 

Of course! Several of our rooms are family friendly.  Any of our scarier rooms require an adult in the room if participants are younger than 10.


What happens if an adult doesn't want to participate?  

If an adult does not want to participate in the room that requires an adult for gameplay, we will not allow them in the room and the booking will be cancelled.

What happens if we have to cancel our booking? 

At Countdown, we understand that life happens and things come up, but we do request at least 24 hours notice if you have to cancel. 

What happens if I'm late?

We understand that things may happen which could make you late, but if you are 15 minutes late or more, we will have to cancel your booking as being late may impact another customer's booking. 

What happens if there is an issue with our room? 

This is a great question! At Countdown, we strive for perfection, but we're also human and some mistakes do happen. Should that occur, please let us know right away, and we can extend your time in the room, put you in a different room (at no cost to you), OR you can come back at any time to play your original room for free. We do not keep cash on site, and our Point of Sale system does not allow us the ability to do refunds. We do understand the frustration behind puzzles being broken or a room being reset incorrectly, and at Countdown we try our best to make sure you leave our building happy and ready to return again.
